Safety Officers and Deputies

You need the qualification...

The latest edition of the Green Guide – the industry standard for safety at sports grounds – recommends that all Safety Officers and their Deputies have, or are working towards, the Level 4 Diploma in Spectator Safety Management.

...we'll help you get it

This is a study-intensive course, as is fitting for a Level 4 Diploma; and it has a notional study time of 580 hours.

That can be demanding for someone with a busy life. We understand. On the Foresee Associates course, we’ll support you every step of the way.

We help you learn your way

You’ll be in the capable hands of a friendly tutor who's walked the talk. Our lecture team have all covered UEFA competitions as Safety Officers, and all of them hold high qualifications in managing spectator events. They're not just skilled trainers, either. You’ll find the course enjoyable and instructive, thanks to the wide store of experience they draw on.

When you're not in the classroom, you'll study at home. But you'll still be supported.

That’s because we don't believe unsupported distance learning is your best route to success. In fact, the huge drop-out rate from unsupported distance-learning courses speaks for itself.

Hate exams? It's different with us

As can be expected from any Diploma-level course, the assessment process is robust.

Assessments are not graded but operate on a strict pass-or-fail basis, and successful candidates must achieve a pass in each required unit. Foresee Associates will support you to ensure, in most cases, a pass is achievable.

Study time – in and out of the classroom

We estimate the course will take you 580 hours over an 18-month period.

Classroom instruction will be delivered in two blocks of 2 days, with at least 4 weeks between the blocks.

Learners also participate in a minimum of two live assessments, at least 4 weeks apart.

Classes will be in central Glasgow. The venue is handy for public and private transport, with nearby car parks and metered street parking.
